movie logic

I have the Robert Redford/Brad Pitt movie Spygame on in the background while I work on a midterm for class. There’s a glaring Washington, DC, geographic error at the very beginning of the film. As the opening credits roll, Redford races from what appears to be his Georgetown home (I think I recognize the cobblestoned/rail-tracked road) to Langley, Va. — by way of Memorial Bridge and (as the camera angle changes) the 14th Street Bridge. Nevermind that neither bridge is the best route to get from Georgetown to Langley (Key Bridge to I-66 probably is) — It’s a geographic impossiblity to be on both Memorial Bridge and the 14th St. Bridge at the same time, as they both cross the Potomac a couple miles apart. Then again, I guess it makes for a pretty picture to have both the Lincoln Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial behind you as you drive out of town.
