I think my iPod has developed a disturbing fixation on Norah Jones. Among the many playlists I’ve transferred to my iPod is a “smart playlist” of the songs in my library that feature Ms. Jones (both from her own albums and from guest spots on others’ albums). My iPod seems to have an affinity for it, sometimes switching to that playlist at random while I’m browsing my music collection. Meanwhile, twice in the past two days I’ve heard tinny blues-pop coming through my iPod headphones, despite the player’s “hold” button being switched on to prevent inadvertent playing and battery-drainage.

I suppose it could be worse — my iPod could be a Britney Spears fan.
