guitarmania

A featured guitar at GuitarmaniaOne of my recent freelance projects just went live on Friday. Guitarmania is a public art project sponsored by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona and Fender, featuring 10-foot-tall Stratocaster guitars that have been decorated by local artists and positioned all over the Phoenix metro area. The guitars will be auctioned off in February, with proceeds to benefit BBBS and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Education Fund.

My contributions to the project included the Flash navigation on the home page (inspired by the menu at berkfest.com) and the Flash/PHP/XML backend for the guitar gallery pages (including the section navigation and the “zoomify” feature over the large guitar photo).

Aly, this is some really excellent work. I love the navigation and the graphics. You should feel very proud :).
