adventures in multimedia

Doing research / inspiration-gathering for an upcoming project, I went looking for sites that do interesting things with design and video. Some of the highlights:

Churchill and the Great Republic - An online exhibit for the Library of Congress. Yet another example of why I ::heart:: Terra Incognita — they do amazing work with multimedia educational features.

Poetic Waves - A historical piece about Angel Island, the West Coast equivalent of Ellis Island for Chinese immigrants between 1910 and 1940. Beautifully done.

be cool - Keds’ recent advertising campaign featuring actress Mischa Barton. Not particularly substantive, but nicely designed and fun to click through.

Your Command - The Web site for CNN’s recent television ad campaign to promote CNN.com. The commercials feature CNN anchors personally delivering the news to individual viewers. They’re trying so hard to be like ESPN SportsCenter … but I love them anyway.
