delicious yahoo
Yahoo! has been on quite the buying streak lately. del.icio.us, my favorite online bookmark service, announced today that they had been acquired by Yahoo!. It’s a great move for Yahoo!, and it makes perfect sense, given the company’s focus on “social software” and recent purchases of photo site Flickr and community-driven events site Upcoming.org.
Compared to archrival Google, Yahoo! has long seemed much more interested in partnerships and acquisitions than on new product development, as well as more attuned to the “social network” side of things. I’m fascinated to see where all this leads…

Hello,
Regarding Simpy - yes, please do check it out - private bookmarks is just one of many features that make Simpy better than del.icio.us (here’s another one: Groups…or another one: Topics and Topic filters…. or full-text search….). Please give it a try and post what you think about it, good or bad. :)
