song of the moment

I’ve had New Order’s “Age of Consent(iTMS) stuck in my head since last night, when I ran across a trailer for Marie Antoinette, directed by Sofia Coppola. The trailer, which has no dialogue, consists of clips from the movie set to this song. It’s not even all that great a song, though I love the bass line.

As for the movie, I’m intrigued only because Coppola is directing it, as I’m really not all that big a fan of Kirsten Dunst and all the powdered wig spectacle.

Comments

The Marie Antoinette teaser is up on Apple’s movie trailers site now, available in the usual array of Quicktime sizes and formats — including HD and iPod. Revel in the New Order goodness.

A second trailer for Marie Antoinette recently debuted on AOL Moviefone featuring another New Order song: this time, “Ceremony(iTunes). From what I’ve read, these kinds of tunes will also appear in the movie itself. Between this latest trailer and the music that’s been featured with it, I’m cautiously interested in seeing the film when it comes out this fall.
