stalkeriffic

Google Maps has added higher-resolution images to its satellite view, offering two more closer-in levels of zoom. It’s so close, I can see the chairs next to the pool on top of my building.

I’ve noticed a couple snafus, though, which I assume will be corrected very soon: While the Naval Observatory (home of Vice President Cheney) is blurred out, the formerly-blurred White House and Capitol no longer are.

(Thanks to Adrian for the tip.)

Comments

Just out of curiosity, do you have any idea what that construction stuff just to the east of the Capitol Building is?

It’s going to be the new Capitol Visitor Center. Unsurprisingly, it’s behind schedule and millions overbudget.
