tax advice

I got my W-2 in the mail this weekend, so I opened up TurboTax this afternoon to input numbers and get a rough estimate of what this year’s tax damage will be. In a section about business expenses, the program offered some advice about what types of expenses are deductible … and which are decidely not:

Do not include:

- Charitable contributions
- Illegal kickbacks
- Political contributions

It cracks me up that they feel the need to explicitly mention illegal kickbacks as a tax no-no.
