song of the day: everybody's free

The rave scene in the introduction to the Venture Brothers second season premiereBefore Sunday’s premiere of the second season of The Venture Brothers on Adult Swim, one of the “bumps” informed the audience that getting the rights to a particular song represented a significant portion of the entire episode’s budget. But it was totally worth it. If you’re a fan of the show, the opening montage was great. And that song — an Aquagen dance remix of “Everybody’s Free” by Rozalla — has been stuck in my head ever sense. It’s almost Cher-like in its empowering cheesiness, but I can’t help it. I’m hooked. And because I don’t have the MP3 and I can’t find it on the iTunes Music Store, I’ve been reduced to playing the YouTube video over. and over. and over again. all day. It’s horribly, painfully addictive.

I’m glad you had that “Everybody’s Free” song from the Venture Brothers. I had it stuck in my head since I saw the second season premiere. Thank you very much!!!
