Speaking of the New York Times, I really liked one of the graphics they ran today with the story about a man who possibly blew up his home/office building to prevent his soon-to-be-ex-wife from profiting from it in the pending divorce settlement. The graphic, “Anatomy of a Town House,” shows the rubble of the building in question, overlaid with white-lined diagram of what the building used to look like and what different floors of the building were used for. By itself, the photo certainly shows the rubble, but doesn’t have the strong before / after impact that the illustration conveys.
