colbert on the brain

Today I’ve been plowing through a series of congressional district maps for our Campaign 2006 coverage. In a sure sign that I watch too much of The Colbert Report, every time I start a new map, I imagine Stephen Colbert announcing it:

“And here’s time for another installment of our 435-part series: Better Know a District. And tonight we feature Arizona’s 8th District. The Fightin’ 8th!”

Or it could just be a sure sign that I’m losing my mind.
