mixed messages
We just launched a new political advertising database on washingtonpost.com this afternoon. Mixed Messages: Tracking Political Advertising so far has information about 70 political ads released in 2006, browseable by a wide range of characteristics, including candidate name, state, issues mentioned, characters employed and music type. The section was compiled and edited by Jason Manning, programmed by Adrian Holovaty and designed by me.

Alyson, this is a great service for students like me. I often find myself working on class projects about political ads. I spend more time searching for the ads than I do analyzing them!
