a day at the zoo
On Sunday afternoon, my Aunt Lulu took Rob and I to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, S.C. We had a lot of fun wandering the grounds and people-watching. (And there were a lot of people to watch. It’s like the zoo’s secondary attraction: If you get bored watching the animals, there are plenty of humans to observe “in the wild” here.)
The zoo’s huge penguin population was the highlight of my visit. I adored the plucky little rockhopper penguins, who would bound from rock to rock and dive into the water. They cracked me up.

I am so crazy about all your zoo pictures! I met a girl here who is from Colombia and she told me that this zoo is one of the best in the country! She even attended zoo camp when she was little :o). Who needs to go on safari in Africa with shots this good! Though, I have to say that I’m also very partial to my Qatari zoo pictures - which of course I haven’t processed yet. Egads, I’ll never catch up!! Certainly a reason to invest in a cinema display, right ;o).
