a seated bow

One of the men who designed the chair I’m sitting on died last week.

Bill Stumpf co-created the Aeron chair, which became a hallmark of cutting-edge office furniture during the dotcom boom. Stumpf died last week at the age of 70 due to complications following abdominal surgery.

Hmm, I’ve had one of those chairs before myself - I guess everyone in nearly every dotcommer office has. That’s sad, and something I’ll definitely think about when I sit in one of those chairs next. Unfortunately, my current seat is pretty awful, and I leave nearly every day with neck and back pains. We’re lucky for such luxury in the US!
