one last look

One last Sept. 11 post and I’m done…

The rawness of the video I linked to earlier for whatever reason made me want to seek out the first post-Sept. 11 episode of The Daily Show. There’s something heartbreaking about Jon Stewart’s opening monologue. It’s long and at times rambling — he seems to be speaking off the cuff — but there’s no denying that it’s heartfelt. Thinking back to that time, it’s as affecting now as it was when I first saw it five years ago.
