soccer, week one

photo_20060923.jpgWe got totally schooled out on the soccer field this past Saturday.

Our opponent, the Maple Street Murderers (rather, the “Maple Street Murder,” thanks to a t-shirt printing error) scored three goals in the first five minutes. But we regrouped, learned quickly and held them off from completely killing us. We even scored a goal in the second half.

We lost (1-5; owch), but (thinking positively) it was a huge learning experience. And despite the loss and frustration, it was actually fun.

Next week: Shrimp Diablos vs. DC Internazionale.
