light the night
Back in April, my brother Ryan was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, temporarily derailing his plans to go to Air Force pilot training this past May. He’s doing well and his prognosis is excellent. He completed chemo about a month ago, and he just started radiation treatment this week. He’s already working on getting back in shape and back on track for pilot training.
Next Saturday, Oct. 14, I’m participating in the Light the Night 5K walk through downtown Washington, D.C., with proceeds to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I don’t like asking for money or pushing causes, so I’m trying to be generally low-key about this. But if you’re so inclined, consider pitching in a few dollars to the fund.

Aly,
I’ll see you at Light the Night too. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on June 15, 2004. I’m glad to know your brother is doing well.
Russ
I had no idea that you’d had to deal with that. Congratulations on your recovery — I’m happy to see that you made it through.
I’ll look for you on Saturday at the walk!
