Everything else out of my ice cream / sorbet cookbook has turned out pretty good to date, so I decided to trust the recipe when it called for a cup and a half of red wine. On its own, red wine isn’t so bad, but in a sorbet?

Not so much.

The result made my ill-advised purchase of herb and goat cheese potato chips at Trader Joe’s last month seem downright palatable.
