I especially like the Daylife site - I’m wondering if it will really take off…
I really like the way they’ve designed the front page of Daylife, with the large, arresting image/headline and the thumbs of previous features. (Though I do wish that on the thumbs, instead of the photo credit, they’d give some clue as to what the photo is about.)
I haven’t really explored the site much beyond the front page and some of the sub-pages, so I don’t have a good feel for how they’re “different” from other news aggregators (other than an arguably nicer design). Still, it’s always interesting to see novel takes on packaging the news.
