photo of the day: first snow

Sunday marked the first day of real snow this winter — certainly a marked changed from last weekend, when I worriedly complained about the freakishly unseasonable warmth.

Small flurries were swirling when we set out for Woodbridge in the early afternoon, and by the time we got to the Mixing Bowl, it was full-on snowing. It was slow going to get to our destination, but in this kind of weather, I suppose it’s better to be slow than reckless.

This photo was taken just before we left the mall, as Rob scraped the accumulated snow and ice from the car windows.
