wedding party
(Photo above of the Indiana University contingent by Rachel Kipp.)
Two weekends ago, Rob and I flew up to Chicago to attend the wedding of one of his college friends, Christin, who had gotten engaged during the weekend of our wedding last year. The couple designed their own ceremony, presided over by an Internet-ordained uncle, and incorporated some elements of a Jewish ceremony to reflect the groom’s faith. The vows were particularly heartfelt, and I actually teared up a bit.
The reception afterward was a lot of fun, and provided an opportunity for a mini-reunion for the Indiana Daily Student alums among us. Throughout, there seemed to be a mini-rivalry between the Indiana University graduates (bride’s side) and the Northwestern University graduates (groom’s side).
Meanwhile, even with my ankle, I managed to get some dancing in, attempting to master the art of dancing in place while placing most of my weight on the non-injured foot.
In all, a good time.
