en route

I’m sitting in the Las Vegas airport and happily blogging away thanks to the magic of free wifi. (Can I just say that I love it when airports provide free wireless Internet?)

I’ve connected through Las Vegas on many an occasion, but, one incident aside, I’ve never actually left the airport. I suppose I should be grateful, then, that the airport authorities have thought of this possibility and have stationed slot machines everywhere. (I don’t actually use the slot machines, but I love to people-watch.)

It used to amuse me to no end that even the glassed-in smoker’s lounge in the center concourse was loaded with slot machines. This time, the lounge is still there, but the airport has gone smoke-free.
