Crystal Pool Neon

Another photo from Glen Echo Park … This place is a photography gold mine.

The photo above is of the neon sign for the Crystal Pool, which dates back to 1931. While the other structures in the park have been renovated or repurposed, the pool remains pretty run-down. All that’s left of it is the decaying front wall and entrance; the pool was filled in at some point in the past, and what remains of the interior has been overtaken by vegetation.
