election collection

We rolled out a new feature at work yesterday. The Election Collection is a Flash-based widget that gives you easy access to the latest news about the 2008 presidential campaign from a module that you can place on your blog or social networking (Facebook / MySpace) profile. You can customize it to feature the entire presidential field or just your favorite candidate.


I did the design / coding of the widget, based on a concept by Chris Buddie, Bageshri Ghate and David Marino-Nachison. Thanks to Derek Willis for setting up the XML feed.

That widget is excellent. Love your design, especially the nice touch of overlapping the mugshots over the header to give it some depth. I need to check out what Chris Buddie did. I think this is an terrific idea. Well done!
