light the night 2007

[Light the Night logo]Rob and I are walking in the Light the Night 5K on Saturday in downtown Washington, D.C. (It’s in the evening, so there’s little chance of oversleeping this one!) Last year’s walk was really cool — everyone got lighted balloons and walked en masse down to the Capitol and back — and I’m looking forward to participating again.

Proceeds of the event go toward research and outreach programs for leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers. If you care to donate, you can do so online: my donation page | Rob’s donation page.

My brother Ryan was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year. He’s been in remission for almost a year now, and he’s doing really well — just eager to get back into the pilot’s seat again.
