simian

One of the music podcasts I listen to just had an episode featuring a band called Simian Mobile Disco. I have no idea if they’re any good — and part of me doesn’t want to know, preferring to to keep to my mental image of monkeys playing Dance Dance Revolution.

(Though I wonder if that’s a precursor somehow to the simian death-jig.)

Comments

You don’t want to know this, but: Simian Mobile Disco is pretty fantastic for those of us now addicted to obscure euro-dance stuff; their new album was one of the big ones I was waiting for this year. Check out “I Believe” and “Wooden.”

(Also, I always imagined a giant party van covered in sirens, driven by gorillas).
