flight line

A-10 jets at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base

When we were in Tucson last month, we met up with my brother Ryan for lunch at Mi Nidito one day. Partway through the meal, he asked, with some enthusiasm, “Do you want to see some C-130s?”

How could I say no?

Ryan was scheduled to give a local dignitary a tour of the Davis-Monthan AFB flight line later in the week, so he invited us along for his “dry run” of the route. Along with those massive C-130s, we also saw an array of A-10s (above) and got to pose for a photo in front of one — all very cool.
